inBachs / Workshop Your Teaching Studio
I'm biased, but teaching private lessons is one of the best parts of a portfolio career in music.
But I'm constantly hearing from people about how overwhelming the business side it is.
Chances are that nobody taught you in school how to build a private music studio or run it like a business. If it were up to me, this information would be available to anyone that's looking to get started or get back into teaching.
Quite simply, here are 5 steps to take to build a professional studio:
establish clear financial goals for your studio
know your pricing and bill monthly on autopay
create a studio policy and know how to enforce it
clearly identify students who best fit your pedagogical philosophy
communicate outcomes and culture to enroll ideal students
I'm not gatekeeping any info on how to do this, and I'll even workshop it with you in a small group!
If you would like to learn more about improving your professionalism as a music lesson business owner, we have live workshops coming up!
