Several weeks ago I hosted a live workshop for private music studio. The goal for this session was to learn about way to retain, program and grow your music lesson program.

From the conversations I’ve had with teachers, I think it’s fair to say that most of us enter the summer season without a real plan. At the same time, this time of year can be so unpredictable with students cancelling more often because of family trips or sports leagues.

My take is that summer is actually an amazing time to expand your reach as a studio. It’s worth taking the time to plan out what you’ll offer and how that will attract the right students at the right moments.
