inBachs / Let's Talk About The Business of Private Lessons

A recap of 5 days of workshops on this.

We just wrapped up our 5 day sprint of virtual workshops where I met with private music teachers from all over, to talk about what it takes to build a private music studio.

A lot of this material is coming straight from what our Outside The Bachs program studios are having success with, paired with what I learned on my journey re-building my studio to 43 students after relocating.

These are the areas we covered and answered questions on:

  • setting studio goals based on your ideal student and studio experience

  • exploring key marketing strategies for fall & beyond

  • refining our enrollment process to support long-term student retention

If you feel like you missed out, you still have the opportunity to grab a 1:1 with us where we strategize around your private music studio. (By the way, these 1:1 calls are purely a free resource to musicians interested in building private studios, there’s absolutely no sales pitch or fees on this call)

Here’s a daily Instagram Reel from our workshop sprint:
Day 1
Day 2
Day 3
Day 4
Day 5

I can’t thank everyone enough for participating and most importantly the feedback we received on this!

If you attended, what was your biggest takeaway? What should we include in our next workshops? Can you think of any organizations, universities or associations that would appreciate a continuing education session like this?

Thanks!
